Popular Misconceptions in Medical School Admissions
Premedical myths: The myths surrounding the medical school application and admissions process run deep. For students who are just beginning to think about applying to medical school and students who are already entrenched in the process, it is easy to be influenced by some common misconceptions. Dr. Lewis will help you differentiate between fact and fiction. Lots of Q&A.

Preparing for the Interview
The Interview is the single one most feared part of the application process because it is “real time”---no “faking” here! Skills that allow you to become more relaxed with the process and with your own abilities are discussed and practiced during this workshop.

Non-Traditional Applicants
What are the differences between the "non-traditional" and the "traditional" applicant? Strengths? Weaknesses? Starting about the mid-1980s, more people from diverse backgrounds, generally older people with rich life experiences, started considering entering medicine in greater numbers. For many reasons, it may take some people many years to be ready to become a physician. Non-traditional students can be placed in the categories: "post-baccalaureate, re-entry and older".
